Apple To Release Apple TV At $200

Apple will be releasing its new Apple TV this coming October at a price of either $150 to $200.

Reports reveal that the tech company is anticipated to reveal the new Apple TV 4 this coming September 9 in a press event in San Francisco, California. According t0 9t05MAC, Apple executives are still finalizing the price, but the latest options for a starting price can be at either $149 to $199.

According to sources, the new device will have a very comparable appearance with the previous model, only that it will be slightly wider and thicker. The new features of the new Apple TV 4 will include Siri support, a new and improved remote control, a dedicated App Store in similar to iPhones and iPads, software development kit for developers, and updated user interface.

According to Techcrunch, the new device will also be optimized for gaming. The Apple TV is said to have a Wii-like remote control that makes use of a gyroscope. The improved remote control will make the user more flexible, enabling the gamer to have more complicated interactions in the game.

Furthermore, Apple is also rumored to unveil its own TV streaming services in addition to its updated Apple TV. The new service, which will compete with cable companies, will be priced at $40 per month.

The service will be available to the older model Apple TV 3, but older units will not have the chance to update and use the new Siri support and App store.

The additional features on the new Apple TV made it necessary for the company to increase their price.
