Daughter of Rosie O'Donnell Leaves Home to Live with Birth Mother

The adopted daughter of Rosie O'Donnell, Chelsea, has decided to leave her adoptive mom once again as she turned 18 last Monday.

It was reported that her biological mom, Deanna, drove all the way from Wisconsin to New York to get her. Chelsea has apparently made the decision to live with her birth mother on the day she celebrated her birthday.

Cindi Berger, the spokeswoman of O'Donnell, stated on Wednesday, "Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother," Cindi Berger also said, "This was her choice."

According to TMZ, Chelsea was given up for adoption in 1997.

However in March, a woman named Deanna Micoley went public and claimed to be Chelsea's biological mom. In an interview she claimed that she was high on drugs during those times and that it was the child's father who gave the baby to O'Donnell without her consent. The comedienne was at that time married to Kelli Carpenter.

Micoley told INSIDE EDITION,"I want her home with me where she will be understood and loved unconditionally."

The teenage girl is suffering from a mental illness and is currently undergoing treatment. She takes medication and has a therapy dog who accompanies with her.

Last August 18, O'Donnell went on social media to report and seek help, as her teenage daughter was missing since August 11. Police officers found her in the residence of Steven Sheerer in New Jersey.

Steve Sheerer is an an alleged heroin dealer who lives in Barnegat Township, New Jersey.Chelsea reportedly met him on Tinder.
Mailonline reported, that when police officers went to see Sheerer on his home, he denied having her there. The law enforcers refused to believe him and eventually found the missing teenager in his attic, along with her therapy dog.

It was Chelsea's burner phone that helped investigator track her whereabouts.

Sheerer was arrested by the police and charged for child endangerment and distribution of obscenity to a minor. If proven guilty, he will face 10 years of imprisonment.
