Selena Gomez On Her Relationship With Justin Bieber, Talks About Her Friendship With Taylor Swift

Singer-songwriter and actress, Selena Gomez, who has been frequently linked to her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber, shared what she really feels about her fans who cannot let go of the "Jelena" tandem.

It's completely obvious that Jelena fans are still hoping for Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber to get back together. Selena, 23, said in her statement during her UK's Sunday Times interview that it's hard for the people to separate them.

"The internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeats it.", she added.

The "Come and Get It" singer was recalled talking about her on-and-off public relationship with the Canadian singer, which started for about five years ago. Gomez was put into more pressure back in 2014 after she debuted her heartbreak track "The Heart Wants What It Wants", following their split up.

"I didn't think I was doing anything bad by falling in love," Selena said. "There's such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it's good press. Throw in the fact that you are a teenager - it makes it more difficult."

However, despite all the struggles that she went through for loving Bieber, the singer didn't forget to mention how grateful she is with her friends, particularly to Taylor Swift, who's always right behind her to have her back.

"I can count on one hand the people I could call and who would be there for me," Selena said. "Taylor is one of the greatest people. When I split with my first boyfriend and I was really sad about it, she flew into town with homemade cookies and a bunch of junk food."

Selena Gomez will be releasing her next album 'Revival' in October and she's not focusing on finding her new love interest, instead she promises herself not to let anything from her past affect the "way she loves" and how the world sees her.

"There is no way I will ever hide my life," she said.

Taylor Swift on the other hand, is busy completing her "1989" world tour for the year. The 'Bad Blood' hit-maker has just finished her recent show last Wednesday, August 26, and she will be heading to her next '1989' show, which will be held at the Petco Park, San Diego, on Saturday, August 29.
