Jon Stewart Will Host WWE SummerSlam

It looks like Jon Stewart won't be out of a job for long. Earlier today, USA Today broke the news that the now former host of Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show' will serve as the celebrity guest host for the WWE's upcoming Summerslam pay-per-view event.

"In his first major gig since leaving The Daily Show Aug. 6 after a 16-year run, Stewart has signed on to be the host of WWE's SummerSlam on Sunday. The four-hour event airs live from Brooklyn's sold-out Barclays Center at 7 p.m. ET/4 PT on WWE Network." Says the report.

This isn't the first time Stewart has stepped into the ring of sports entertainment. The 52 year old is an avid pro wrestling fan and is currently embroiled in a 'feud' with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

The animosity between the two began in February when Rollins interrupted the 'moment of zen' segment of Stewart's show. Stewart would get a measure of revenge on Rollins the following month when he kneed him in the groin during an episode of Monday Night Raw.

Rollins is scheduled to defend his heavyweight title against United States champion John Cena in a winner-take-all match that is the centerpiece of this year's SummerSlam. Will Stewart have a part to play in the title fight? We'll have to wait and see.

The entire card for the event is as follows:

"Winner Take All" WWE World and United States Championship Match:

-Seth Rollins vs. John Cena

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match:

-Ryback (c) vs. The Miz vs. The Big Show
