RAF Chef Reveals Prince William's Addiction To 450 Calorie Snack, Especially Made For Him

A former RAF chef has revealed Prince William favorite snack. He likes a "little bit of spice" but "doesn't like curries" as the chef reveals.

Former RAF chef Gareth Matheson used to cook for Prince William, when he was based at RAF Valley on Anglesey from 2010 to 2011. William always ordered the same 450 calorie meal while working or before going to his long shifts.

The 31 year old chef told The Daily Mail, "It was William's absolute favorite. Whenever he was on shift he would always ask for it. When he was working nights he would always ask for me to do another one for throughout the night."

"He liked the idea that we were using all local and fresh produce. He liked a little bit of spice but not too much. He doesn't like curries and things like that."

"I suggested it to him, he said he would give it a go and since then he never really looked back."

"He tried it and loved it and he would have it a couple of times a week. I thought he was going to turn into a burger at one point."

"It is a lot but he used to tell me that because it was a big meal, a good meal, it used to fill him up over the night shift so he wouldn't snack."

William's favorite meal is no other than the Royal Welsh Lamb Burger, it's a half-pounder with Snowdonia cheese on top and bacon and fried egg. The chef created the whopping burger just for William.

The chef also revealed that aside from the calorific burger, William also likes lasagna and roast dinners.

After leaving the RAF in 2014, Gareth took the recipe with him and now he's working at the Road King, where you can find the burger that fitted for a royal. The burger is such a hit that it comes up with a whopping price of £5.99, with chips and a salad on the side.
