Most of the sandwiches nowadays are made or cook by chain restaurants with anonymous short-order cooks, and they use cheap fats and low-quality carbs. In order to unwrap some of the worst sandwiches in America, a research was made in the most popular restaurants that serve sandwiches.

One of the worst breakfast sandwich can be found in Carl's Jr. Monster Biscuit, the sandwich contains 810 calories, 60 g fat (25 g saturated, 6 g trans) 1,850 mg sodium, 40 g carbohydrates, and 29 g protein - that's a trans fat equivalent of 6 McDonald's Big Macs. But Carl's Jr's sandwich outdone Hardee's Monster Biscuit - where the sandwiches are served with double meats, double egg and double cheese. The FDA even plans to ban the Hardee's Monster Biscuit sandwich as they call it unsafe - it has a lot of potential when it comes to artery-clogging trans fat.

The Chili's Bacon Avocado Chicken Sandwich is also not good for consumption, for it has 1,580 calories, 82 g fat (19 g saturated), 3,950 mg sodium, 138 g carbohydrates ,that's a sodium equivalent of 26 servings of Saltines stacked tall.

Friendly's Honey BBQ Chicken Supermelt got the worst BBQ sandwich with the Calorie Equivalent of 13 KFC Original Recipe drumsticks in one sandwich, where the BBQ sandwich contains 1,550 calories, 81 g fat (24 g saturated), 2,840 mg sodium, 152 g carbohydrates.

Also, the Applebee's Chicken Fajita Rollup their menu says "brace yourself for bold" which is bolder calories and fat content of 1,070 calories, 62 g fat, (27 g saturated, 2g trans), 2,250 mg sodium, 66 g carbohydrates, which is a saturated fat equivalent of 27 slices of bacon.

And the Longhorn Steakhouse Tavern Steak Sandwich, with the fat equivalent of snacking on 16 Twinkies. Their sandwich contains 1,180 calories, 70 g fat (25 g saturated, 1.5 g trans), 2,070 mg sodium, 71 g carbohydrates.

The University of California, San Diego organized and carried out a study that besides the fact that trans fat can clog a person's arteries, it can also cause memory loss.
