The Happiest Place on Earth - Disneyland Celebrates 60th Anniversary

The Happiest Place on Earth does exist! Disneyland celebrated its diamond anniversary Friday with the "Paint the Night" parade, "Disneyland Forever" fireworks and an update to the World of Color show.

ThousandS of people came together in the Sleeping Beauty Castle with a distinctive style of 1950's clothing. They listened to a replay of Walt Disney's Disneyland dedication speech from the park's opening day in 1955.

Michael Colglazier, Disneyland Resort President gave thanks to the heads of Disney, the president said, "those who have helped shape the park to what it is today,". Among others that Colglazier thanked were Disney's son-in-law and former Walt Disney Co. CEO Ron Miller, former imagineer Bob Gurr and former Vice President of Imagineering Marty Sklar.

The construction of  Disneyland as the Happiest Place on Earth 60 years ago took only 1 year and 1 day. And for 6 decades no competitor has outlasted Disneyland. The difference is just, the cost of a ticket in Disneyland today is sold for $100, but back then, it was a mere $1 on opening day and 50 cents for kids.

The chairman of Mycōtoo, and the location-entertainment developer that has worked with Disney, Universal, Dreamworks and Warner Bros - Clifford Warner, stated, "No one had any idea Disney would be successful to the extent that it was, and it went unchallenged for 40 years," Clifford Warner also stated, "Disney definitely had the head start and it is still the pinnacle - it's what everyone measures themselves against."

The gated theme park was built for a variety of attractions in one place for one ticket. Hotels and restaurants surrounds the park, and it is also filled with quality entertainment and family fun.

Mycōtoo's Clifford Warner stated, "Disney has had a development team working on this deal for 20 years - they'll be retiring before the park opens," Mycōtoo's Clifford Warner also stated, "It's political - a country like China can't be seen giving into a Western capitalist venture, handing contracts to international companies, moving money out of the country."
