Transformers 5: Director Michael Bay will Return

Paramount Picture's Transformers: Age of Extinction 2014 may have received bad reviews from movie critics, yet the movie ended up as the highest grossing film in the 2014. Transformers 5 doesn't have an official cast yet, except for Mark Wahlberg who has confirmed that he will reprise his role in the 5th installation of Transformers.

According to Master Herald, "Transformers: Age of Extinction," did not receive good responses from movie critics, but the movie celebrated a huge blockbuster success, earning more than $1.1 billion in box office sales in 2014. The movie is listed in Box Office Mojo as the highest-grossing film of 2014. With the movie's success, fans are looking forward for a sequel, and as promised by Paramount Pictures, the new "Transformers" movie will be in production soon. There is a big chance that the fifth installment will follow the huge success of "Transformers: Age of Extinction."

Rumor has it this year that Jonathan Liebesman will replace Michael Bay as director of the upcoming Transformers 5, however a circulating news has confirmed that director Michael Bay will be back in the director's chair.

Paramount Pictures acknowledges the fact that the success of the Transformers franchise also has a lot do with the directorial prowess of Michael Bay. Paramount Pictures will soon start the Transformers production after director Bay will finish his current project - 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, the initial release of which will be on January 15, 2016 (USA).

Reportedly, Megan Fox showed interest to return in the Transformers franchise, Fox was removed from the franchise when she and director Michael Bay had an issue.

The much awaited Transformers 5 have world renowned writers Robert Kirkman and Akiva Goldsman on board. Writers Kirkman and Goldsman are believed to write the Transformers 5 much like how Star Wars was written.

But Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura has divulged that the scenes of the film will beon earth. However, Kirkman and Goldsman are currently working on a newer plot for Transformers 5.
