Rappers Birdman and Young Thug Conspired in Lil Wayne's Tour Bus Shooting

The feud between rappers Lil Wayne and his former label boss and adoptive father, Bryan "Birdman" Williams got more serious. Lil Wayne filed an indictment on June 25 against Jimmy Winfrey for being the person behind the tour bus shooting incident that happened in April. The said indictment is linked to the names Birdman and Young Thug (Jeffrey Williams). Apparently it was found out that Jimmy Winfrey called Birdman and Young Thug before and after the shooting incident happened.

After Lil Wayne filed a federal lawsuit in New York, as the rapper claimed Cash Money Records for $8 million - Wayne was attacked on his tour buses.

In Cob County, Geortgia Lil Wayne filed his formal accusation initiating a criminal case, the court documented and detailed 30 counts against Jimmy Winfrey. This includes aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, possession of a firearm and violation of both the RICO Act and Street Gang Terrorism Prevention Act.

The indictment claims a substantial background by identifying Winfrey, Young Thug, Birdman and Lil Wayne as Blood gang members, which then claims that Jimmy Winfrey the defendant "is a high-ranking member in the Young Slime Life subset of the Bloods."

An Instagram video posted by Young Thug, shows Winfrey with visible weapons and is to be understood as a gang reference, posing an explicit threat to Lil Wayne.

While Lil Wayne was performing the same night in Atlanta, Young Thug had a New Orleans gig where the crowd booed Young Thug offstage and instead shouted out Lil Wayne's name.

As the Atlanta police saw Winfrey arrive at the venue in a white Chevrolet Camaro, it was apparent that Winfrey and his other Blood associates were planning to attack Lil Wayne once he hits the stage.

According to the court documents, Atlanta police officers saw that Winfrey "had an assault rifle in his vehicle." And "fearing gang violence," the police escorted Lil Wayne from the club until his buses left the Atlanta city limits.

The bus was boarded by Lil Wayne, Young Money label executives, and rappers Lil Twist and Hood and were fired upon by Jimmy Winfrey while it was on the freeway last April 26.
