Thousands descended upon this week's LA Pride parade expecting to see a festive celebration. What many did not expect to see was Channing Tatum dancing on the 'Magic Mike XXL' float.
Tatum joined co-stars Adam Rodriguez and Matt Bomer on the float and gave spectators a preview of what to expect in his upcoming movie. The 'Dear John' actor had a bright rainbow bandanna around his neck as he showed off his dance moves beside Bomer.
The crowd waited patiently for Tatum to remove his white t-shirt, however the actor kept all his clothes on during the parade.

Some considered Tatum's LA Pride appearance as a way to get over the 'Game of Thrones' season finale, which involved the death of a beloved character.

LA Pride 2015 started out with the parade on Santa Monica Boulevard and culminated into a three day festival featuring Wilson Phillips, Tinashe, Ke$ha, Ty Herndon and Fifth Harmony. The venue also had an art and culture exhibit, a hip-hop stage, a country pavilion and even a Latino Carnivale.
Tatum first rose to fame when he starred in 'Step Up' with his future wife Jenna Dewan. He later appeared in 'Public Enemies' as Pretty Boy Floyd and played Duke in 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,' a film based on the Hasbro animated series.
The talented model/dancer later starred in 'Magic Mike,' which was based on his experiences as a male stripper. The first film also starred Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and Joe Manganiello.
'Magic Mike XXL' is directed by Gregory Jacobs and produced by Tatum and Jacobs with Reid Carolin and Nick Wechsler. It will be released on July 1, 2015.
