Apple will not be able to launch their rumored redesigned Apple TV at the Worldwide Developer Conference this coming June 8 to 12 at Moscone Center, San Francisco.
The new Apple TV is supposed to be launched at this year's WWDC, but the company announced that the plan will be postponed as it will not be ready in time.
The tech company is believed to be working on a new version of the device, which will feature a new hardware design, increased internal storage, high power A8 processor, new app store interface, enhanced voice controls, and a touch pad-based remote control.
Apple TV is a black box that is connected to a television that supports HDMI connection. The unit supports HD videos from iTunes and Netflix and makes viewers enjoy music and photos from iCloud, and use AirPlay to stream from iOS devices.
The versatility of the product lies on the use of any Apple devices as the remote, and access to some of Apple's exclusive services and other channels included in their service.
Since 2013, speculations about a new upgraded version of Apple TV have been flying around. Every time Apple participates in a tech event or holds its own, fans are anticipating the launch of the new version. The debut however has always been delayed due to changes and developments being made on the device.
However, in the upcoming WWDC event, the tech enterprise will be introducing the updates they made in iOS 9 and OS X 10.11. They will also use the event to introduce the newly-rebranded of iTunes and its new exciting features, as well as showcase upgrades made to the Apple Watch.
Homekit, a home automation framework device that will run on iOS 8.1 will also be introduced at the tech gathering in June.
