SanDisk announced that they will be offering Solid State Drives that can store up to 2 TB worth of data and has a transfer speed greater than 8500MBpS during the Computex 2015 event in Taipei, Monday.
The SSD that would soon be available to the public is called SanDisk Extreme 900. It will cost from $399 to 999, depending on the capacity type the buyer would choose, in this case either a 480GB or a 960GB version.
The device is now being titled as the highest-performing portable SSD. Though it is still unofficial it will be the first of its kind.
They also paved the way at the tech event to launch their new SanDisk Extreme 500, which is also a Portable SSD that is smaller than a Smartphone. The SSD can store files up to 480 GB and has a transfer rate of 415Mb/s. The device would be available in the near future for just $239.99.
The company also showcased the coming of a USB 3.0 Flash drive called the SanDisk Ultra that could store files up to 256 GB. The device, reported to have a transfer rate of 100MB/s, will be priced $199.00.
Smaller and handy alternatives were also presented by the company, including the smallest USB 3.0 flash drive of their line-up. Called the SanDisk Ultra Fit, it is the tinier version of SanDisk Ultra, and boasts of storing capacity reaching 128GB. ransfer rate is at 130MB/s.
The third-largest manufacturer of flash memory in the world has been known for creating portable storage devices that are revolutionary. Since the beginning, all the devices they have produced have been used by consumers around the world.
SanDisk again pushed their capabilities even further to provide their customers the best portable storage devices.
