[WATCH] An Emotional Tracy Morgan Speak About Accident For The First Time

'30 Rock' star Tracy Morgan finally came out and spoke about the potentially fatal car crash he was involved in. The first live interview was aired on NBC's "Today" on Monday.

The car accident occurred on June 7, 2014, which resulted in incapacitating injuries for Morgan, and the death of his friend and mentor, comedian James 'Jimmy Mac' McNair.

The interview comes less than a week after Morgan settled the lawsuit against Walmart. With a cane in hand, Morgan told Lauer, "The case is settled, but the pain is always going to be there for Jimmy Mac."

Trying to hold back his emotions and tears, Morgan still recall his disbelief on the outcome of the accident. "I can't believe I'm here. I can't believe I'm in front of you. I can't believe I'm just here, and just seeing the tragedy that happened. It touches me," he admitted.

Talking exclusively to Matt Lauer, the comedian talked about the late McNair. "He was a loving man and he was a warm man, Morgan said. Tracy then continued as he choked up, "He was a good man. It's just hard for me to see that he's gone. That's it."

One notable thought he did share during the interview: "Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal."

However, Morgan gives fans something to look forward to. "I love comedy. I'll never stop loving her. And I can't wait to get back to her, but right now, my goal is just to heal and get better," Tracy shared.

He continued to briefly explain, "Because I'm not 100 percent yet. I'm not. And when I'm there, you'll know it. I'll get back to making you laugh. I promise you."

Tracy Morgan and his friends were coming from a performance. While in the limousine, the vehicle was rear-ended by a Walmart truck at the New Jersey Turnpike.

Tracy suffered from a broken leg, broken ribs, and severe brain trauma. Morgan was in a coma for two weeks following the accident. Two other passengers on board the limousine were also injured.
