One of the largest companies in the world has been suffering the effects of a generation's change in food consumption habits, as there's currently a trend into a much healthier approach to eating while people all over the planet (and particularly in the United States) attempt to improve their diets - and as such, McDonald's menu has been forced to change.
Over the past few months, Food World News has reported on many of the issues that have forced the change on McDonald's menu, including their very low sales in the past year as well as major protests from their workers and even how they've cut on menu items and sold a number of company-owned restaurants.
Now, according to Business Insider, the Golden Arches chain is making two major changes on the McDonald's menu to try to improve their numbers, and they're both related to their cooking: their patties will now be seared and grilled differently in an attempt to make them juicier.
The change in McDonald's menu - or rather, how it's presented - is part of the company's grander scheme to get its business back into shape after months of poor numbers, the lowest in the past decade.
The new move regarding McDonald's menu is simple: they'll be toasting their buns for a longer to keep the sandwiches hotter while changing their grilling method for patties.
According to BuzzFeed, it was the company's CEO himself, Steve Easterbrook, made the announcement, stating the company was "recommitting to hotter, tastier food across the menu."
On the same conference, The Wall Street Journal reports that Easterbrook also revealed that the company would stop publishing their sales reports monthly as their sales numbers reach a record low.
The company's also going through a number of business strategies to improve their sales in the United States market, the most deeply affected by the old McDonald's menu item losses.
