The Cleveland Cavaliers effortlessly won against the Atlanta Hawks in the Game 4 on Tuesday night completing a series sweep. The team will now advance to the finals, making it LeBron James' fifth consecutive year of joining the NBA Finals.
The team's small forward finished with impressive stats: 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. He not only took charge of the offense, but his defensive play was impeccable as well, leading the team to the finals.
The court was filled with confetti after Cavs became victorious over Hawks for four consecutive games. Cavs ended the fourth game with a 118-88 score.
Despite not having Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving in the game, who were both injured, he led the team through the finals.
James said he didn't expect that they would be in the finals because he saw that the team has a lot of things to learn and improve. He thought the team is still young, both in age and way of thinking, including him.
It seems that the player already knew that he had to lead his teammates and take them to the top.
Mike Budenholzer, Atlanta Hawks coach, says that LeBron James has changed and improved.
"His confidence has gone to another level. Having watched and prepared - watching how he orchestrates and has a great command for where he wants his teammates and what's important in the moment and the confidence that he has in himself to make the right play, whether it's making a shot, making the pass. As a leader, he's grown. His confidence has grown," said Budenholzer.
James is one of ten players who participated five times in the championship games, similar to those in the Boston Celtics in the 1960s. He is the first to accomplish this feat with two different teams that are not the Celtics.
