The Houston Rockets was badly beaten by the Golden State Warriors during game 3 of the NBA Western Conference Finals last Saturday at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
The team admitted to feeling embarrassed for losing by 30 points in a game held at their own home court.
The Rockets are now in a critical spot after its three consecutive losses. Since no NBA team has recovered from a 3-0 play-offs standing, the team's chances of continuing to the next stage are slowly diminishing.
Coach Kevin McHale confirmed that they didn't perform well during the match, which resulted in their defeat.
"We had plenty of opportunities, especially early in that game, where we got stops. We didn't convert on breaks. We got guys stopping early in the break, our spacing was bad. We just did not play very well [Saturday] night, and it started, I thought, from the offensive end," the coach stated.
McHale sounded like a coach with so much regrets about the game.
Dwight Howard, who missed most of the first game after obtaining a knee injury, showed optimism during the third game.
"Is everybody positive? I'm positive. I'm going to stay positive. That's all I can control is me, but you know, I'm going to make sure that I do whatever I can to keep my mind positive. We're in a tough situation but there's no reason for us to be moping around. I think that's the worst thing you can do whenever you're down and out is just to mope and sulk into the negativity. We've got to stay positive," Howard encouragingly stated.
The fourth and possibly final game of the Houston Rockets against the Golden State Warriors tonight. Fans are sure to flock the Toyota Center to see if the Rockets will redeem themselves.
