The controversial video tape is all about her, doing her own thing in front of the camera and Vivid Entertainment initially offered her million dollars for distribution rights. Fox News reported that Courtney Stodden first planned to sue the company if they will use her video tape without her knowledge.
"I want my tape back and Mr. Hirsch needs to respond to my attorney's demand letter to return it to me immediately," Courtney Stodden said in a statement to FOX411 on Thursday. "My private video's not for sale. I don't need the million dollars."
However, her plans changed abruptly and now Courtney Stodden has decided to sell the distribution rights for a cause. In an interview done by TMZ, Courtney Stodden told the publishing that one of her best friends took a copy of the video tape without her permission.
Courtney Stodden friend threatened her that he will not stop until everyone sees her video tape. The threat could have made Courtney Stodden terrified and now she will sell it to give the sales to a charity.
According to In Touch Weekly, Courtney Stodden hasn't decided yet which benefactor will receive her money. But it will be more likely that it will be donated for children with cancer or to an animal rights organization.
Courtney Stodden claimed that she's not keeping any amount to herself, but instead 100 percent of the sales will go to a charity.
Courtney Stodden rose to popularity when she married actor Doug Hutchison, 51 while she was only 16 in 2011. She was tagged as the "former child bride" and vastly received high criticisms from the media t the time.
Doug Hutchison and Courtney Stodden separated after two years of their marriage however, in 2014, news broke that the two are getting back together after realizing that they still love each other despite their 35-year age gap.
