‘Two And A Half Men’ Finale All About Charlie Sheen – But Did He Make A Cameo?

Ever since the announcement of the "Two and a Half Men" finale last year, fans of the show clamored for the return of Charlie Sheen, the original star, after his character Charlie Harper was killed off after the actor's controversial fit against the show's creator Chuck Lorre.

Of course, audiences tuned in after the actor teased over and over again that he'd be in he "Two and a Half Men" finale, even though his character died four years ago after then-wife Rose (Melanie Lynskey) threw him off the Paris subway in a fit of jealousy.

According to Vox, though, Charlie Sheen fans ended up disappointed when he didn't show up in he "Two and a Half Men" finale, even though the entire thing was about his character, as the main story involved the idea that Charlie Harper might still be alive, kept in the bottom of a well by Rose, in a completely "Silence of the Lambs" fashion.

As everyone else broke the fourth wall in the "Two and a Half Men" finale while discussing that they were in television, the episode also featured a couple of big star cameos, as CNN reports, including Terminator himself and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (playing a policeman investigating the case of Charlie's supposed reappearance), as well as "Full House" star John Stamos and even Christian Slater, making an appearance as a Charlie Sheen lookalike in a scene that seemed to be paying homage to Sheen's cameo in the John Hughes classic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."

The "Two and a Half Men" finale was filled with odd fourth wall humor, according to Perez Hilton, as well as endless references to Charlie Sheen - so much that the episode was named "Of Course He's Dead."

"I made a decision a month or so ago that there was so much demand, so much excitement about seeing Charlie come back for the finale that it was the right thing to do to try to come up with something we could have fun with, to poke fun at all the craziness," Chuck Lorre said in his vanity card showed in the "Two and a Half Men" finale. "It was presented to him. He didn't like it. And we weren't excited about what he wanted to do. So it didn't go forward."
