Scarlett Johansson New Movie: After ‘Ghost In The Shell’ Controversy, Johansson Cast In ‘The Psychopath Test’

The original work in which the film is based, Jon Ronson's "The Psychopath Test," is actually a study on psychopathy and the world and corporate leaders who might have the condition; however, it has now been adapted into a work of fiction that will see Scarlett Johansson's new movie role.

In the early days of January, it was announced that the actress had been cast in a live-action adaptation of the classic anime "Ghost in the Shell," something that deeply outraged fans and caused them to try to halt the Scarlett Johansson new movie, as she was seen as the wrong choice due to the fact that she'd be portraying a Japanese character.

Now, according to The Guardian, Scarlett Johansson's new movie will prove to be a feat in itself for another whole set of reasons, as it will be based on a work of nonfiction to be adapted to the big screen - by none other than Kristin Gore, the daughter of Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former American Vice President Al Gore.

As Deadline reports, Scarlett Johansson's new movie still has no co-stars, but it is known that Jay Roach (the director of the "Austin Powers" and "Meet the Parents" film franchises) will be the one directing and producing, along with Brian Gazer, Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey, with Eric Huggins and Jennifer Perini serving as executive producers for the film.

While there's still no official word about Scarlett Johansson's new movie, outlets everywhere seem to confirm the notion that the film has been green lit, even though it's still in early development stages.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, while Roach is most famous for his ventures directing comedies, he's also worked in the pilot episode of the HBO show "The Brink" and has a Bryan Cranston film, "Trumbo," currently in postproduction.

Scarlett Johansson's new movie definitely sounds interesting!
