Pilaf is a dish in which rice is cooked in a seasoned broth. You can also put various spices like saffron which adds a great flavor. This dish will be much easier than you expect.
Ingredients
1 cup rice, uncooked
2 cups chicken stock
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp loosely packed saffron thread
1/4 tsp salt
Freshly ground pepper
Directions
1. Heat a pan with olive oil; saute onions until brown.
2. Add all ingredients and simmer covered until all liquid is absorbed, 15 minutes.
3. Serve warm.
