‘7th Heaven’ Star Stephen Collins Reveals He 'Gave in to Exhibitionist Urges'

Stephen Collins star of the TV series said, "I acted out in those ways but I am NOT a pedophile." Collins admitted that he actually "gave in to exhibitionist urges" but he already moved on and he already corrected such wrong doing. In fact, he gone through therapy and he consider GOD as the center of his life.

Stephen Collins was blamed with three child molestations of three different incidents on that said 'exhibitionist urges' but he insisted and stand to it that he is not a pedophile and he's been into therapy of his faith for almost 20 years. Such therapy aided him to move on from that 'unspeakable acts'.

Collins said that he improperly touched young girls, but on only one occasion. That was in year 1973 he recalled, then he again touched two young girls between that 1973 until year 1994. He had an interview for 20/20 with Katie Couric which was aired on Friday at 10p.m. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department investigated Stephen Collins. The 67-year old who was investigated because of allegations on molestations. However, he was not charged by any crime eventhough he acted 'terrible', but Collins does not actually fit to what is pedophile is.

The actor said to Couric, "A pedophile is someone who is mainly or wholly attracted to children. I'm not. I had a distortion in my thinking where I acted out in those ways. "But I'm absolutely not attracted, physically or sexually attracted to children. I'm just not." He also revealed that he really had this boundary issues, but never a sexual predator.

Collins said that he is just human, and just like others he has his own flaws too, but he strongly dealt with it on his own. He is not attracted to children either. He confessed this to People Magazine and none of them expose themselves in public.
