Activision's 'Destiny' New Sequel Coming in 2016

Destiny which was first launched in September 2014 is said to introduce a new sequel in 2016.

It's been two years since the first Destiny was announced. In relation to this, the American video game developer Bungie has just unveiled that it will be launching its next Destiny franchise very soon.

It can be remembered that the first launching of the videogame last 2014 was not quite successful. Many players had some major complaints especially about the thin story line and dialogue of the videogame.

The video game-focused blog Kotaku tried to determine the reasons behind the said failure. By interviewing six current and former Bungie employees, the company discovered that miscommunication between Joe Staten and the senior personnel of the company is the reason for the poor videogame story/dialogue.

On the other hand, the new sequel will be considered as a breakthrough for Bungie as Kotaku reported that the Activision's High Moon Studios will be their major partner in the project.

On the official website of High Moon Studios, it was cited that the former Sammy Studios is collaborating with Bungie in developing the sequel of the videogame Destiny.

A certain source has expressed his comments concerning the move of Bungie to adapt the process of micro-transactions for the Destiny videogame.

"There was a bet that was, 'Hey if we did microtransactions, I bet you we could generate enough revenue to make up for the loss of DLCs.' Instead of it going Destiny, DLC1, DLC2, Comet [aka The Taken King], DLC1, DLC2, they're actually just gonna go [big] release and then incremental release," the source said.

"So it'll just be Destiny, Comet, Destiny, Comet every year. It's basically just switching the game to an annual model," added by the source.

As of the moment, all of the information mentioned above remains as a rumor and speculation. Kotaku said that Bungie remained silent when question about the said story.
