Donald Trump Hosting NBC’s Saturday Night Live?

The American commercial broadcast television and radio network - National Broadcasting Company (NBC), announced on Tuesday, that the American real estate developer and the Republican presidential candidate - Donald Trump, will host the late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show - Saturday Night Live on November 7.

As Donald Trump will appear in - Saturday Night Live, the political candidate will be joined by a musical guest, the Australian singer and songwriter - Sia.

In August, Donald Trump stated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, that the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) had recently asked him to host the show, but Donald Trump declined the offer as he was unavailable.

However, when Donald Trump first hosted the Saturday Night Live in 2004, this is what he had to say "I had a great time". In addition, Trump said "NBC actually asked me to do it a second time, but I wasn't able to do it because I was away."

Donald Trump's turn as host comes several weeks after the American politician who served as the 67th United States Secretary of State - Hillary Clinton, appeared on the season premiere of the show.

Taran Killam (best known for his television work on shows such as The Amanda Show and Saturday Night Live) has been impersonating the president of The Trump Organization on SNL, for this season.

This is the latest appearance of Donald Trump on NBC, since Trump and the network parted ways in early July after Trump made what NBC deemed to be "derogatory statements" in which Donald Trump called the Mexican illegal immigrants as "rapists," bringing drugs and crime into the United States. The National Broadcasting Company then replaced Trump with the Austrian-American actor and politician - Arnold Schwarzenegger, to host the Celebrity Apprentice.

However, as the NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt was speaking at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in August, he actually stated that they were open about the network's separation from Trump and he also called Trump "a lovely guy." But Greenbalt also said "absolutely not'', when asked about the possibility of Trump's return to Celebrity Apprentice.
