The Tomb Raider video game series has come to life again, thanks to its latest sequel called "Rise of the Tomb Raider", which will be available on Xbox One and 360 this coming November 10.
Crystal Dynamics, the game developer of the upcoming game had a difficult task to improve the aging game franchise. Fortunately, Engadget stated that the new game has improved enough giving the player a wider gaming experience.
The new game offers a much more extensive gaming, a bigger world to explore, an entirely new environment, more skills to develop, additional secret and also, more tombs to be raided. Although the previous Tomb Raider is much similar to the latest in general, it is not considered a big deal.
In the new game, Lara Croft is consistent on being a complex main character. In the last reboot, it can be remembered that she was left as a frightened shipwreck survivor but now, she is back on being an adventure-seeking badass woman.
The main story also is consistent as Lara Croft is still committed to continue the research of her father, into the field of reincarnation and the physical evidence of "immortal soul".
The gameplay settings of the videogame has also improved. One of the noticeable thing in the new game is the detailed and new environments that were not usually associated with Lara Croft. Noah Hughes, the Creative Director of Crystal Dynamics said that the team is now focusing in "virtual tourism".
In a statement, Hughes stated the idea behind the virtual tourism.
"You go to these exotic destinations and feel like you've been there on some level. That leads to a natural focusing on environment as part of the concepting phase, thinking 'where are the cool places we can take her' that are ultimately different than we've been in the past."
Engadget added that the 2013 reboot is quite successful providing Tomb Raider enthusiasts all new upcoming sequels to play.
