Microsoft Releases Windows 10 PC Preview

Microsoft Corporation has just presented the public with the newest Windows 10 preview in PCs, which includes showcasing their intelligent personal assistant Cortana and branding for the Microsoft Edge browser.

The company's latest browser Project Spartan was finally modified and rebranded as Microsoft Edge, which is one of the biggest changes in the said release. More than a week ago, the multinational company already notify the public that Edge and Spartan have different application IDs.

This means that all the user has saved in Project Spartan like history, cookies, reading list items and favorites will be gone when it is updated from the earlier system.

Some of the newest features in Edge include a new dark theme, the ability to import bookmarks and favorites to Edge from other browsers, password and fill-support, capability to drop and drag tabs to a new window, and other customizations for ease and comfort.

On the other hand, Cortana has also been updated and adjusted. The intelligent personal assistant has a dark color theme to make it uniform with the rest of Windows 10.

Setting up alerts when going home, heading to work and going to the airport, and flight and package tracking have all been made possible in Siri's competitor.

Cortana is also able to send an email as soon as a user 'tells' it the recepient and the contents of the actual message. The voice-activated program will also allow for edits in the email, which would seem like one has a personal secretary.

Window's new personal assistant has been combined with Office 365 for greater productivity and services to its subscriber as well

Windows 10's other modifications and updates include an addition of a timer in Snipping tool, GIF support for the photos application, and Surface Pro 3 battery repairs. The Window's build number is also updated from 10130 to 10158.
