Microsoft CEO Nadella Empowers the World to Achieve More

Satya Nadella CEO of Microsoft, sent out emails to all their employees regarding his new mission for the company. Satya Nadella wrote, "Our mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more."

CEO Nadella's statement is much stronger and less mouthful compared to Former CEO Steve Ballmer's revised Microsoft's mission statement in October 2013 which is "create a family of devices and services for individuals and businesses that empower people around the globe at home, at work and on the go, for the activities they value most."

Former CEO Steve Ballmer's statement didn't have quite the same enthusiasm, or liveliness as Nadella's does now.

As Satya Nadella's philosophy builds on, few other Microsoft marketing slogans Nadella touted since taking charge in February 2014 was not changed: such like "more personal computing" is still very much alive  and people use all sorts of devices connected together over the Internet.

Paying particular attention to that phenomenon is one of the core strategies that Nadella said would help the company become the major player in the "mobile-first, cloud-first" world.

Nadella highlighted in the email a number of new initiatives for the company, such as: "We will do more and more to support the culture we have and recognize impact when we see it," and also "We will need to innovate in new areas, execute against our plans, make some tough choices in areas where things are not working and solve hard problems in ways that drive customer value."

Nadella did not mention in his memo the word "layoffs," but the need to innovate in areas where things are not working - have the possibility of more employee exits or even products or divisions potentially will be cut off. The CEO said that they will make some tough choices to execute their plans.

The CEO concluded  in its upcoming fiscal year, Microsoft is in a position to acquire new growth.
