DC Entertainment is knocking on the door of the Marvel-movie-dominated Hollywood with their forthcoming release of DC comics based movies. DC have strike a deal with Warner Bros to produce "Man of Steel" which was released 2013. The movie will kick start a long list of DC movies slated up until 2020.
The two companies are currently on full crunch mode into their second joint film venture, the highly anticipated cross-over movie "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice". This movie will mark the first ever cross over venture of DC, putting two highly esteemed character heroes in just one movie. With the runaway success of the first Avenger film, DC is also planning of putting together a group of superheroes in one movie, the aptly named Justice League.
Rumors and speculations are currently hitting Hollywood asking how DC would declare its arrival in the Marvel dominated superhero-genre market. Current reports from DC show that the company might have come up with the perfect formula, by unleashing its most famous superheroes.
Superman probably is the only DC superhero aside from Batman that has established its arrival in Hollywood. Henry Cavill unveiled "Superman: Man of Steel" to Hollywood and is reported to have finished Superman's latest film, the "Dawn of Justice". Rumors also confirm that Superman will be part of all the upcoming Justice League films.
Batman will be reincarnated after Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale wrapped up their trilogy last 2012. The latest film of the caped crusader will be the crossover film directed by Zack Snyder who also directed "Man of Steel". Ben Affleck is enlisted to put on the Batman suit but no reports have yet to confirm if he will be playing the Dark Knight in the succeeding Justice League films.
Aside from Batman and Superman, DC has also confirmed that Wonderwoman will also have a solo film with Israeli actress Gal Gadot playing the eponymous superhero.
Finally reports from DC have confirmed upcoming movies for superheroes Aquaman, The Flash and Green Lantern, Shazam and Cyborg.
