The latest victim of a death hoax is singer/actor and former child star Macaulay Culkin with a photo he has posted online.
The 34-year-old took it to Instagram to show that he is alive and well as he parodied the '80s hit movie "Weekend at Bernie's". The movie is said to be about these two insurance company workers who discovered that their boss, Bernie, is dead. The two people then try to make people believe that he is still alive as they made it like a puppet of theirs.
The star captioned the photo with the following statement: "Weekend at bernies with @anchovywarhol #greenroom".
The star posted another photo of him, just a normal one, saying that he and his band called Pizza Underground are on tour and told those who started the rumors, as well as those who believed it, as "silly".
He and his band have been on tour since October 17 this year and kick started in Brooklyn, New York. Pizza Underground is scheduled to perform in different cities all over the United States until December 6.
A news website has started the rumor mill to go around pressing that Culkin was found dead in his New York apartment on Friday. The report said: "Sources are reporting that Macaulay Culkin, best known for his role as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone and sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, has been found dead at the age of 34."
The report added that one occupant in the building where the supposed apartment of Culkin is pressed that it was indeed the star that lives in the apartment where the body was discovered but noted that police has not yet confirm such information.
This is not the first time that Culkin has been a target since reports also broke back in April this year about him being dead.
