David Chang Joins Food Delivery Of Restaurant Dishes called Maple

A group of entrepreneurs from New York have come up with a solution for people who do not want to cook nor go out just to eat and they have announced that they will be launching a start-up company that delivers high-quality restaurant foods to your doorstep in just 15 minutes.

David Chang, world renowned part of the Momofoku restaurants has just joined the said group and pressed that the secret of the company, identified as Maple, had something to do with technology.

Chang is said to work alongside other big names identified as Caleb Merkl, Akshay Navle and William Gaybrick. All three reportedly have a lot of experience regarding delivery, finance and mobile technology.

Momoku is said to be one of the many investors of Maple and the project is said to have an initial funding of $4 million.

Chang is the chief culinary officer of the Momoku chain of restaurants and he is reportedly to tag other New York chefs as well as other food suppliers in order to create the menu for Maple. Reports say that the menu for Maple will vary on a day-to-day basis and that the minimum price of a dish will be set at $12 including the tax, tip and delivery fee.

The customers will be placing their orders through an app, which is reportedly already on the works.

According to Merkl, he first came up with the idea and tagged Navle about the possibility of it. They pressed that the idea was brought up due to their frustration of the existing food delivery systems and pressed that high-end restaurants don't usually focus on home delivery.

The group added that Maple will be creating a smarter routing system as well as better packaging of the dishes noting that restaurants do not take these issues into consideration. The group is said to create an efficient system of who orders what and where it will be delivered.

Also, kitchen locations will vary and could expand up to 15 or 30 kitchens depending on the response of their potential customers. With the numerous locations, the group will be able to live up to their goal of preparing and delivering orders in just 15 minutes at the doorstep of the clients.

Consumers who are said to be interested in the idea could already sign up at in using the service can sign up at trymaple.com.
