Taylor Swift Shares Photo Of Her Having Cornrows As Her Hairstyle, Celebrates 1989

Taylor Swift is on the roll again and has won the hearts of the people as she uploads a throwback photo of herself when she was 12 years old as she celebrates the success of her latest album called "1989".

The 24-year-old singer has shared on her Instagram account a photo showing that she had "cornrows" as her hairstyle and captioned it saying: "The last time an album sold as many copies as 1989 did first week, it was 2002. I was 12, and going through my 'braids phase'. #nofilternecessary."

The photo has garnered a lot of likes from her followers and her fans called Swifties and this is the first time she has revealed the photo and it is now out in the public.

The star one had an interview with Teen Vogue as she talked about fashion and beauty mistakes for her. She told to the magazine that her school pictures were tragic as her style forever was going to be cornrows. She added, "I took my school pictures with the cornrows."

She joked that it has led her to feeling that there's nowhere to sit in the cafeteria but it was found out it was all in good humor as she was well-liked in her school.

The photo is in celebration of her album being able to sell 1.287 million copies. According to the industry experts, they predicted that 1989 would only be selling around 650,000 copies and it turns out they were wrong. According to the music industry, the last time that such number of copies were sold was that of Eminem's album called "The Eminem Show" released in 2002, as what T. Swift talked about earlier.

In line with the success of her latest album, the "Shake It Off" hit maker announced that there will be a world tour for her album and it is reportedly to kick off in Louisiana by May 20, 2015.
