$3750 Bottle: Table Refuses to Pay For $3750 Bottle at Bobby Flay Steak

$3,750 bottle stuns a dinner table at the Atlantic City Bobby Flay Steak at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. According to the report from the Diner, the wine bottle, which was the second most expensive drink on the menu was taken without the consumers knowing the real price. After the bill was brought to the table, the whole table went silent.

Mr. Lentini was the man of the night at the Bobby Flay Steak. He was hosting his 10 friends for dinner at the diner. After a sumptuous dinner, the man requested the waitress to bring a bottle of wine.

According to himself, Mr. Lentini knows very little about wine. Asking the waitress for her opinion, the waitress recommended a bottle of Screaming Eagle, Oakville 2011. It was a $3750 bottle of wine on the menu. However, since Mr. Lentini could not read clearly without glasses, he asked the waitress what how much it cost.

"Thirty seven fifty," was her response. Mr. Lentini assumed the figure was $37.50, so did the entire table. He sampled the wine and later requested the whole bottle.

The $3750 bottle of wine was poured for all members at the table. Later the bill was brought to the table. Expecting to see a three digit bill, the whole table was shocked at the four figure bill.

"[The host] was sitting across from me and he handed the bill to person next to him, who handed it to the next person until it got to me. I showed the gentleman next to me and we were shocked. We couldn't believe it," said Lentini.

As per the New York Post, an argument ensued with the management of the diner until finally an agreement was reached. The host would pay $2200 for the bottle.

A Borgata spokesperson said that there was no dispute. He said that there was no misunderstanding, hence the guys at the dinner table were lucky to have caught a break from the $3750 bottle incident.
