Joran Van Der Sloot's Wife: Back in July this year, Joran Van Der Sloot married Leydi Figueroa. Now, his wife brought the news, which state the convicted murderer was supposedly stabbed in prison.
Joran Van Der Sloot is a known name since 2005. In that year, he was 17 and the prime suspect, still is, to Natalee Holloway's disappearance. Five years later, he was convicted for murdering and robbing Stephanie Flores, to which he pleaded guilty.
Since August, Joran Van Der Sloot has been staying at the Challapalca prison in the north of Peru. His wife has complained that her husband has been stabbed repeatedly there, the Daily Mail reported.
Apparently, these incidents occurred on Oct. 27 and almost a week later, as well. The prisoner's wife came to visit him on Saturday and there, he told her about the stabbing during the first day.
She returned on Sunday with some food for him and he was already "pale and about to pass out." After that sight in front of her, Figueroa started screaming desperate to receive help.
After a while, some medics came to aid him and stitched him in "a basic way."
"I grabbed Joran's t-shirt and shouted that this was evidence of the abuse and aggression, and I was going to take it with me."
"The wardens tried to grab it from me so I put it on my own body, with the blood and everything, and managed to leave the prison with it."
The confession of the "abuse" inflicted on her husband was incredibly dramatic. Still, there are two sides to the story: Joran Van Der Sloot and his wife's side, and the prison's side.
After this poignant news appeared, the prison officer went through the "stabs" and even spoke publicly about Leydi Figueroa.
"Absolutely nothing has happened. That lady lies and it's not the first time she's done it... Sadly, she wastes everyone's time."
"In the first place, no girl in her right mind would go to a maximum security prison and marry its most notorious killer," he said and El Comercio noted.
In addition, Johan Van Der Sloot had already sent out a letter to several government related departments, including the Peruvian Congress, stating the "poor conditions" he was kept in.
He complained about having every human right "violated" and that guards got away with everything because the prison is situation in the Andes, secluded from the rest of the world.
The stabbing was in his shoulder and in his waist, the wounds were 2 centimeters deep, it seems, and so the convicted murderer's wife feared for his life inside of that prison, CNN reported.
Once again, Johan Van Der Sloot and his wife have a strong version sustaining the situation, including blooded sheets, which Figueroa took with her.
On the other hand, there is no consistent evidence that the violence was inflicted on him. When he was checked, the wounds seemed self-inflicted.
