Unfortunately, Honey Boo Boo show was canceled due to an inexcusable reason. TLC pulled out the airing of the reality show after learning that June Shannon, aka Mama June was still dating her child's offender.
TLC's decision came abruptly following TMZ released the story on Thursday that Shannon is secretly seeing Mark McDaniel, a convicted child molester who just recently came out of jail in March. McDaniel served 10 years of sentence for child molestation on Shannon's 8-year old girl.
Shannon denied the allegations on Alana Thompson (Honey Boo Boo), her daughter's facebook fanpage that she is seeing McDaniel despite the fact that photos of her and McDaniel were posted over the internet. For this reason, TLC canceled the "Honey Boo Boo Show" because TLC believes that she's putting her children in danger.
"Just got a phone call this morning from TLC, and as of right now there will be no more production of the show," she states in the video clip. Shannon stressed on her message that there is no truth behind the accusations that she's dating a sex offender.
Although TLC has canceled "Honey Boo Boo Show," TLC reassures that they will still be supporting Shannon's children. The network claims that the children's health and welfare are their main concern. And as promised, they will never turn their back for paying tutors and counselors for Shannon's kids.
TLC has already finished filming "Honey Boo Boo Show" that was canceled for its new season, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." But the network declared that they will no longer air the upcoming season which is slated at the end of the year.
The canceled Honey Boo Boo show is a colorful TV series about a child beauty show contestant Honey Boo Boo played by Alana Thompson. It started as a big hit in 2012 where the show garnered 3.2 million viewers and tagged as an "unbridled hilarity" of the family by the TLC general manager Amy Winter.
