C.J.Spiller Off For the Season With a Groin Injury

The Buffalo Bills will be having a tough time on coming games after two of their starters were carted off during Sunday's 17-16 win over the Minessota Vikings. Both C.J Spiller and Fred Jackson were carted off the field in the first half of the game.

Fred Jackson was first to come down with a groin injury. Jackson strayed down the field during a third-and-1 run before he was stopped on his tracks. He did not come up. The player suffered a groin injury and after undergoing an MRI last night, will only be spending the next 2-3 weeks off the pitch. C.J.Spiller will not be so lucky.

After going down hard during his first carry of the game in the Vikings'15 yard line, the running back lay on the ground for several inutes before finally being carted off while covering his face.

Buffalo Bills coach after the game stated that C.J Spiller had suffered a broken collarbone and would be out for an unspecified period of time. He is scheduled to have a collar bone surgery on Monday, a league source stated. Reports indicate he may be gone for the season.

Spiller, who was the 2010 no.9 pick at the draft, has had quite a roller coaster run at the NFL. In his first two seasons, the player only managed 1,270 yards from scrimmage and only seven touchdowns. In 2012, the running back got his big break when he poerformed an impressive 1,703 yards from scrimmage with eight touch downs and 6.0 yards per carry.

In 2013, Spiller was slowed down by an ankle injury the whole season that resulted in 1,118 yards from scrimmage and a poultry two touchdowns.

C.J. Spiller came into the 2014 season knowing that he would be splitting touches with Jackson. The two side by side make any defense penetratavble. However, with both of them down the Bills will be having a rough time ahead. Anthoiny Dixon will have to step up to the plate, and hard.
