Hold onto your hats - there's a STUFFED BAGEL making everyone in La La Land swoon. So, of course, it's become a new viral craze. I know, I know, there are SO MANY - but if we weren't reporting on the trends taking over your TikTok feed, it would just be irresponsible food journalism. Right?

I'm in love with the recipe because a) it takes very little work, b) it includes garlic - because garlic is amazing, duh, and c) it revolves around a delicious, pillowy, delightful bagel (because carbs). So, let's get on with it.

Calic Bagel's Dreamy Creation

Calic Bagel inside MarkEat 8 food hall in Los Angeles is responsible for this ultra-indulgent creation. Co-owner Alex Sohn told GMA (Good Morning America for you kids not in the know) that his wife has been making a kind of ridiculously good garlic bread for friends and family that's a popular street food in Korea. They put a twist on the dish and swapped a bagel for brioche and voilà! The Calic Stuffed Bagel was born. A sweet side note - Sohn also said that his wife "is the best cook he knows."

The Hype is Real

Stuffed bagels aren't exactly new, but Calic Bagel's version is definitely the star of the show. People are going crazy for it, with recipe videos racking up millions of views on TikTok.

To create the trending treat, Sohn's homemade bagels are sliced ¾ of the way through the bagel (cutting top down) in six sections like a pizza. Then the slits are piped full of decadent cream cheese and dunked in a garlicky, herb-infused butter bath, and baked to melty perfection for 15 minutes at 350°F.

If you can't get your hands on a Sohn original, grab your fav bagel from your best neighborhood joint and get making! Proceed to devour it shamelessly (because you deserve it), and thank me later!
