If you know me, you know I love me some Ina Garten. So I'm totally nerding out over the fact that The Barefoot Contessa herself has written another book - except this time, it's not what you think. She's written a staggering 13 cookbooks in her life, but last week she took to Instagram to announce that she will be releasing a memoir in October. Ina's done a lot and built quite an empire in her 76 years, so I'm sure it's going to be filled with some serious wisdom, fascinating stories about her life, and maybe even a little tea on what it's been like to film "Be My Guest" with so many fierce celebs.
More Than Just Cookbooks
We all know Ina for her delicious dishes and effortless entertaining style, but this time, she's taking us on a deeper journey. She shared on social media that writing a memoir was a whole new experience for her - even a little scary!
"It was really scary to do, but it turned out to be so much more interesting than I could have ever expected," she said. "You know, I tend to look forward in my life, not back, and connecting the dots between when I was in my twenties and thirties and beyond and building things to now made me realize I spent my entire life preparing myself to do what I love to do which is write cookbooks," she continued.
Ina Garten's Book Tour
The book is called "Be Ready When the Luck Happens," and it hits shelves on October 1. And that's not all - the release will also take our dear Ina on an eight-city book tour this fall, with stops in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Dallas, Costa Mesa, Boston, Chicago, and Hartford.
