Alan Cumming Broadway - The actor known for several movies and for currently starring in "The Good Wife," has been a great part of this year in Broadway's "Cabaret."
"Cabaret" is a Broadway show well-known on its own. And Alan Cumming has been in it for years. He first debuted as the Master of Ceremonies in 1993. "Cabaret" was directed by Sam Mendes and played in London's West End.
Then, it was taken to Broadway in 1998, where Alan Cummings reprised his "Emcee" role and Sam Mendes took the lead again. That year, he was given a Tony Award for his astonishing portrayal.
And this year, "Cabaret" is back again on Broadway in the Roundabout Theatre Company. Once again, Alan Cumming is playing "Emcee" and alongside is Michelle Williams and it has been announced that Emma Stone will be soon.
Directing once again is Sam Mendes. This is one tremendous play and still, it didn't call as much attention as it has these two last days after Shia Labeouf has been in The Jimmy Kimmel Show.
There, he told about his adventure before getting arrested earlier this year. And part of the story included Alan Cumming, Broadway, and "Cabaret." This is one bizarre combination and still, very true.
"Alan Cumming walks by past me and all I think about is the leather pants and him winking at me; and he walks by past me and I give him a slap in the ass because I think he deserves it."
"He's seducing me, he's the sexiest man I've ever seen, and I don't just slap it, I grab it. I grabbed the whole cheek because I wanted to party."
The entire story that Shia LaBeouf tells includes a homeless man, burlesque women, he feeding an older woman with fruit in a bar, and then a group of policemen coming to get him.
I believe it's more than fair to say that after all this explanation, "Cabaret," Broadways and Alan Cumming will never be the same.
And "Cabaret" will be on Broadway all through the rest of 2014, with Alan Cumming starring.
