Popeyes is a fast food restaurant known for its famous Louisiana Chicken Sandwich and crispy chicken. Several months ago, they introduced two flavors of chicken wings to their menu, which was considered a success. Now, they announced their newest chicken wings menu with different varieties of flavors that also caught the attention of many people.
Popeyes Chicken Wings
In 2019, Popeyes caused a stir in the fast food world by introducing a chicken sandwich to its menu, leading to the beginning of the so-called chicken sandwich wars. Later, fast food restaurants established battered chicken sandwiches as customary fare.
According to Sami Siddiqui, the president of Popeyes North America, their company again experienced an increase in sales and long queues due to the wings. Sales at Popeyes restaurants in the United States that have been operational for at least 17 months had a year-over-year increase of 5.6% during the third quarter, with chicken wings contributing. The response from the customers contributed to the strengthening and consolidation of their belief that we should have five permanent flavors of wings available on the menu.
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, Popeyes announced that there would be a permanent addition of chicken wings across the country's menu. Customers who enjoy wings can now select from five unique flavors that, according to the company, offer varied degrees of kick.
Sweet 'N Spicy, Honey BBQ, Roasted Garlic Parmesan, Signature Hot, and Ghost Pepper are the flavors that are available for the wings. With the introduction of the Ghost Pepper wings earlier this year and the Sweet 'N Spicy wings in September for a limited time, some individuals may be already familiar with these two flavors. On the other hand, the chain claims that its previous offering was a big customer success.
Siddiqui stated that the company is eager to challenge the current quo and is constantly reinventing what consumers anticipate from fast food businesses. The addition of Sweet 'N Spicy wings, reportedly their best-performing product since the famed Chicken Sandwich, accompanied the enormous success of Ghost Pepper Wings, which became an instant sensation. As mentioned, they are pleased to see the new wings line-up take flight because the company is aware that consumers desire even more powerful flavors of wings inspired by Louisiana dishes.
Moreover, all of the wings that are being sold on menus are made up of hand-battered and breaded chicken wings that are crispy. These wings go through the same process as Popeyes' famous Bone-In Chicken, which is marinated in the restaurant's flavors.

How to order Popeyes' new menu?
Six pieces of wings are the minimum number that should be included in an order. At the time of publication, the a la carte pricing is $5.99; however, prices may differ depending on the location. In addition, there is a 12-piece dish that costs $11.89 and provides two different flavor options for wings. There is also a 24-piece meal that costs $23.69 and allows for up to four other flavor possibilities. To the guests' surprise, there is no option for thirty pieces, which would let them select all five tastes together in intervals of six pieces.
Popeyes allows customers to have the wing sauce taste placed on the side, and standard dipping sauces of their choosing are provided with each order. Furthermore, one can order the wings as a supper, which comes with a traditional side dish, or as a combo, which comes with a side dish and a beverage.
Accordingly, if the drive-thru is available, customers can place their orders for wings at the register, at a kiosk, or in the store. For most locations, the Popeyes app and website facilitate placing orders in advance for either pickup or delivery. Thus, when placing an order for delivery, it is essential to remember that the pricing could be higher.
