Reservation service OpenTable has announced its top 10 restaurants in the United States for 2016.
St. Francis Winery & Vineyards in Santa Rosa, California topped the list, leading the onslaught of California restaurants in the list with three, tying with New York's. South Carolina, Hawaii, Arizona and Pennsylvania.
Mama's Fish House in Paia, Hawaii placed second while Kai in Chander, Arizona and Halls Chophouse in Charleston, South Carolina are in third and fourth place respectively.
According to Business Insider, the list was a result of a thorough compilation and analysis of more than 5 million reviews done over the past year for 20,000 restaurants in the app and website.
The San Francisco, California-based company annually releases its list of best restaurants in America concurrently with a list for Canada. Of all the provinces in the Great White North, Ontario has the highest number of entries with 41,followed by British Columbia with 20, Alberta with 19, Quebec with 17 and Edmonton with five eateries. For cities, Toronto lead with 28 restaurants. Montreal placed second with 16 and Vancouver got 13 establishments.
Early this year, it already published an unranked list of the top 100 restaurants all over America in an official press release in its website, with both California and New York registering 16 restaurants each. Pennsylvania followed with eight, Texas with five and Virginia, Illinois, North Carolina, New Jersey and Arizona with four restaurants each.
