Drake to Launch His Own Whiskey Brand

During the NBA All-Star Weekend, Drake teased his upcoming liquor brand, Virginia Black Whiskey on Instagram.

Taking to Instagram, the "Energy" rapper posted a mysterious photo and caption in the promotion of the business venture.

"After that legendary moment what else is there to do but celebrate with class," he captioned a photo of the black and gold label. "Virginia Black coming soon..."

With this announcement and tease, he joins the long line of hip - hop stars who have introduced their alcohol brands including Jay Z's Armand de Brignac Champagne, Sean Combs' Ciroc and 50 Cent's Effen Vodka, according to People Magazine.

Although the latest brand of whiskey which is being launched by Drake is little know, yet speculations are on the air that it will be released in time with the "Hotline Bling" rapper's newest album launch in April, according to Vibe.

Earlier this month, Drake also dropped a single from his project titled "Summer Sixteen" which was premiered on his OVO Sound Radio show.

There has also been an avalanche of promotions throughout his home city teasing the fans and getting them ready for the launch of his latest album.

Notably, Virginia Black is not the first time Drake has been silent about his ventures into the food business.

Last September, he quietly celebrated the opening of his new restaurant Fring's  in Toronto, his hometown with notable stars like Serena Williams, Jaden Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith among other major known celebrities.

Thus, it is yet to be seen if Drake will really be successful with his new brand of whiskey like he has been with his music album and latest endeavors in the food business. Our best wishes are with the rapper and we do hope that he continues to try out new things for the food enthusiastic
