Daisy Ridley and her Star Wars Diet

You know her as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We know her as Daisy Ridley, the slimmest actress on the Star Wars set. What did the leading lady have to do to get into Star Wars shape and according to J.J. Abrams standards?

To prepare for her role, she avoided the original films because she didn't know the franchise that well and she had to undergo a very strict diet and exercise program prior to production of the film.

I ate lots of fish, legumes, and spirulina shakes.

Spirulina is a superfood dietary supplement that is available in powder, tablet and flake form. The micro-algae is known for its dietary benefits and is often called "the miracle of the sea". Spirulina is rich with significant amounts of calcium, protein and magnesium that Rey, or rather Daisy Ridley, needs to keep in shape. Especially that she's supposed to be a starving but pretty junker in a desert.

The 23 year old tells Elle in an interview for their December magazine subscription issue. Aside from her diet, she had to go through rigorous physical training for her stunts in the film. Ridley had three months blocked during the year to be extensively trained for the movie, for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Some even described her training like she "works out as a Jedi".

Until now, it has been reported that she is still trying to maintain the routine for the next film sequel in the Star Wars Film Series Franchise.

This is an obligatory SPOILER ALERT!

She just might need to continue her physical exercise regimen if she is to keep up with Luke Skywalker's training for Rey to become the next Jedi.

She claims it's a structure in her life and her physical training right now is her therapy.

What does Ridley have to say about this routine?

It became my solace.
