Millennials Prove to Be the Most Confident Parents

A new poll from Pew Research Center finds that millennial mothers have enough confidence in their parenting skills, Time reports.

They proved to be stricter and more loving towards their children as well. They can also get over-protective. They don't give in quickly to whatever their children might ask. When it comes to their children, they don't offer much criticism.

Praising kids and allowing them to realize their ambitions are the greatest foundation of the millennial parents. Juliana Menasce Horowitz, an author of the report, says, "Millennial moms and dads were more likely to say they sometimes praise their kids too much. And that it's extremely important to them for their kids to grow up to be ambitious."

Based on the survey, a lot of factors affect the parenting technique of a family. The survey involved 1,800 parents and the result is that the parenting experience varies because of different types of parents.

Financial stability, educational attainment and racial type have an impact to parenting.  It is natural for a parent to be anxious about their kids. However, in America, it proves that parenting is something greatly defined by the ethnic origin and financial status.

Black and Hispanic parents worry about their kids getting bullied, beat up or harmed in any other way as well as being pregnant.

For white parents, they are more concerned about depression as one of their children's top struggles. This wasn't a priority concern for Black and Hispanic parents.

The report states, "By a margin or two-to-one, more lower-income than higher-income parents (40% vs. 21%) say they worry one of their children will get in trouble with the law at some point."

Those who were able to finish high school say that one can never be too much attached to your children's education. Meanwhile, parents with college degrees tend to believe that there might be negative results if one is too involved in their kid's education.

Either way, being a parent simply means that you always have the best interest for your children's future.
