'Once Upon A Time' season 4 episode 1 not only marks the premiere of the show's fourth run but it also marks the proper introduction of newcomers Elsa, Anna and Kristoff into the magical and more often than not complicated storyline of OUAT characters. It can be noted that in the final moments of Season 3, Georgina Haig's Elsa already arrived in Storybrooke in all of her glorious icy form. In a general press release for the show's storylines this season, ABC teased a lot of things that are to happen in the show. First, Regina might be returning to her old evil ways after realizing that she doesn't have a chance in winning Robin Hood's heart now that Emma has brought Hood's wife, Marian, back. Then, there's Belle and Rumpelstiltskin enjoying every bit of their married life until Mr. Gold's darkest secret unfolds. Emma and Hook are finding it difficult to commit to one another everything that's happened. 'Once Upon A Time' Season 4 will also be introducing arc-long guest stars. John Rhys-Davies of 'The Lord of the Rings' will be voicing the Grand Pabble, the ruler of the trolls in the 'Frozen' world' while Giancarlo Esposito will be reprising his role as Sidney/the Magic Mirror this season. Michael Socha's Will Scarlet from 'Once Upon A Time In Wonderland' will be joining the main cast. The backstory is The Knave of Hearts, who is a former member of Robin Hood's band of Merry Men, has traveled across many lands, only to find his way to Storybrooke with an unknown future. The official synopsis of 'Once Upon A Time' season 4 episode 1 reads: " A scared and confused Elsa finds herself in Storybrooke and, fearful of the intentions of its residents, creates a powerful snow monster for protection. With Robin Hood's wife, Marian, back in the picture, Regina wonders if her "happily ever after" with the former thief has been completely quashed; while on their honeymoon, Mr. Gold finds an intriguing object that makes him question whether or not he should officially give Belle control over the dagger that makes him The Dark One, and Hook is dismayed to discover that Emma seems to be avoiding him while she tries to help comfort Regina after being the one responsible for bringing Marian back from the past and into Storybrooke."
"Meanwhile, in Arendelle of the past, as Elsa's sister Anna's wedding to Kristoff nears, Anna discovers that their parents - who died on-ship during a violent storm - were heading to a mysterious destination in a quest that may have held the secret to containing Elsa's out of control Ice powers. And against Elsa's wishes, Anna wants to finish their journey to find out what they were looking for."
