Everyone who has an iPhone on hand knows the ongoing battles regarding battery life. Apple is now offering a solution to that problem - but it isn't what you think.
According to Pocket Lint, who was the first to actually report on the matter, Apple started selling a new iPhone accessory on Tuesday: The Smart Battery Case.
However, not all iPhone users will be able to get their hands on the case with "a bump on the phone's back." The Apple Smart Battery Case is only compatible with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.
The new Apple product was secretly - as in unannounced - launched on the Apple UK website, which sounds something the tech giant is unlikely to do. This has prompted reports to believe that the launch was a mere accident.
Not only that but in true Apple simplicity fashion, the cases come in two variations: Charcoal Grey and White. However, Apple's Smart Battery Case will set you back $99 in the U.S., and £79 ($118) in the UK.
Mashable also notes that the new iPhone accessory is similar to the Morphie brand of smartphone case/battery combinations. Based on the photos, it seems as though The Apple iPhone Smart Battery Case will be adding some height and width to the smartphone, in addition to a huge increase in its thickness.

As per Apple, the Smart Battery Case will add significant length to the iPhone's battery life: "it increases talk time up to 25 hours, and Internet use up to 18 hours on LTE," or more commonly known as 4G.
Lightning compatibility won't be a problem either: the Apple Smart Battery Case won't be a problem either: the case supports Lightning accessories and can even work with the iPhone Lightning Dock.
