Remember when fans were so disappointed that Luke Skywalker was not in the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer that someone decided to recut the trailer so it featured Mark Hamill? This time, it's happening to Spider-Man and the 'Captain America: Civil War' teaser!
On Thanksgiving, the world was in for a treat when the first 'Captain America: Civil War' trailer was unleashed. Although it did feature several amazing action sequences and a glimpse at what could happen in the film, the trailer was missing one very distinct aspect of the movie: an appearance from Tom Holland as the new Peter Parker aka Spider-Man.
The absence of the webslinger didn't go unnoticed. Comicbook.com has decided to recut the 'Captain America: Civil War' trailer with more footage featuring Spider-Man.
The description for the video reads as follows:
"Despite his debut coming in 'Civil War,' Spider-Man wasn't featured in the first trailer. Here's what it might have looked like if he was!"
The new Spider-Man recut of the 'Captain America: Civil War' trailer may appease the fans for now, but that hasn't stopped people from wondering why Peter Parker wasn't originally in it. Some have even considered the possibility that Spider-Man will not make an appearance in the film at all.
So what happened to Spider-Man? Will Tom Holland appear in 'Captain America: Civil War?'
It has previously been confirmed that the young actor had filmed some scenes for the movie and will appear as Peter Parker. However, there is a possibility that Spider-Man's cameo in 'Captain America: Civil War' will be a minor one, and one that doesn't even show too much of his abilities.
'Captain America: Civil War' will mark the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier. The film is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.
