Maksim Chmerkovskiy proposed to girlfriend, professional dancer, Peta Murgatroyd onstage on Saturday, December 5, evening at the Sway: A Dance Trilogy show at the Olympia Theater in Miami.
The 35-year-old, choreographer shared the happy news with his followers on Saturday evening with a photo of the moment, writing, "She said 'yes'."
"For years I knew Peta is the one for me," Maksim Chmerkovskiy said in a statement to E! News. "She is the perfect fit with my family and she has made me a very happy man."
The 29-year-old dancer exposed her new diamond jewel following a performance of the couple's show.
Peta Murgatroyd added, "I couldn't have been more surprised. Maks' romantic proposal is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. I'm excited for the next chapter in our lives and to plan the wedding of my dreams with Maks."
The couple reunited earlier this year after splitting in 2013 after a 10-month romance.
Back in May of 2014, Hollywood Life shared that Peta Murgatroyd was ready to do whatever it took to get Maksim Chmerkovskiy back.
The pair had dated in the past but split, but afterward Peta realized Maksim was the one. Rumors flew that she was dating her partner on the show James Maslow.
And the same case to Maksim were also rumors that he was dating his dance partner Meryl Davis, but there was not any truth to that either.
Sharna Burgess, fellow Dancing With the Stars' posted to E! News a pic of Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd sharing a sweet kiss after the proposal, with the celebratory caption, “So this just happened!!!! Ahhhhh I'm so excited for my loves!!@maksimc and @petamurgatroyd it's about bloody time!!!!”
Maksim was previously engaged to DWTS dancer and fellow Ukrainian Karina Smirnoff for eight months of 2009.
And Murgatroyd dated DWTS dancer and fellow Aussie Damian Whitewood for five years before their 2012 split.
