These days, film goers would stay the extra few minutes to watch trailers and credits for a preview and the possibility of a sequel. Normally, the end of the movie trails the ending credits for the film's creation and production team. However, these days, it has become an agonizing 5 to 10 minute wait for the audience to catch a glimpse of the future, a prelude to a possible sequel. And because of this the film industry just loves to tease. Except for Star Wars.
The Star Wars franchise never had a care for credits, though. In a recent press conference, the press had to ask. The press didn't have an exclusive screening of the film so they don't have the exact deets of what to expect. J.J. Abrams tells all that there is nothing to wait for at the end of the movie. It's going to be all names and titles and everybody can leave the theater not worrying about missing any teasers. Straight from Abrams himself - once the credits start rolling, the audience can start rolling out of the cinema.
You're probably thinking there's a possibility because in The Phantom Menace credits Darth Vader was breathing. That was an elegant touch to the movie and the franchise but that doesn't really tell us anything about the next movie. Or it can just be an experimental audio to entice us to watch the next movie.
Well, you never know. They could just be pulling our leg and we'll be mesmerized by the end credits scene. Film producers and directors are known for keeping lids tight on things that make movie goers excited.
The Marvel's Spider-Man and Civil War movie has word buzzing in the streets that Spider-Man wasn't in on the movie but then he was. That's Marvel for you though and Star Wars is a different world altogether. We get it.
At this point, we just have to wait for the movie that is scheduled to air on December 18, as reported.
