Severe and Intense Anxiety: Colton Haynes Confesses He Suffers Anxiety

Every single person has gone through difficulties in life. It is only natural. But not everybody can cope with these challenges. It is a natural process and sometimes it can go beyond one's own abilities. The same thing goes for Colton Haynes.

The Teen Wolf and Arrow actor opened up on Twitter last Tuesday about his personal struggles with intense anxiety. For a person constantly being monitored in the limelight, there is constant juggling between relationships and social status.

"It's been a constant struggle for me since the 5th grade," Haynes posted on Twitter. He calls it a battle.

One would think that being a celebrity means having it all including being strong-willed and whole in the midst of pressure. But Haynes can tell you that he's only human and he opened up a sensitive part of his life when he retweeted an article about anxiety.

He revealed that his anxiety has not only affected his personal health but also everyone around him - which means it has also affected his personal and professional bonds. He failed to show up during family events, social gatherings and important movie or film works. He's been through all the phases of anxiety and even ended up in the hospital. He has experienced fainting spells, siezures, palpitations and hyperventilation. If you'd think that Teen Wolf and Arrow poses as a success for Haynes, he's had personal failures of his own. He stated that he has quit his previous jobs because of anxiety.

His social media confession is not for publicity but for public awareness. He wants to tell those suffering anxiety that they are not alone, reports say.

Just know ur not alone & it affects more ppl than you would ever know. We can overcome this. We can fight thru it & will - Colton Haynes (@ColtonLHaynes)December 2, 2015

He urges everybody to be there for those who struggle with anxiety and realize that it's a serious issue. "Its not a case of "being dramatic"...its a life long struggle", he says.
