Jimmy Kimmel continues to tease us. And recently, he premiered the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer during the Jimmy Kimmel Live show with the guest appearance from Ben Affleck. So, what does the trailer say about the two iconic superhero's relationship? Good thing we have the trailer right here!
Posts on the net are starting to poke at the two heroes. Let's start of with the Bat. Bruce Wayne, as played by Ben Affleck, comes in with an air of mystery and vigilantism. He continues to secretly watch over us as Batman while he fights crime as a vigilante. He is one of the many that thinks Superman is not just here to save us from other aliens. He believes that Superman will eventually rule the earth with his super alien powers. And his sole mission is to take him down.
On the red corner, Superman, played by Henry Cavill, faces Bruce Wayne as Clark Kent with a hard and serious face. It's clear that the two has beef with each other and in the next few frames we see the Bat and the Steel throw punches and flames at each other. Clark Kent doesn't need the super sleuthing skills of Bruce Wayne to know that he's Batman. But that doesn't stop them from still trying to kill each other.
But while all the two boys are trying to play nice, we see Lex Luther, played by Jesse Eisenberg, tapping his fingers together like Mr. Burnes. We can clearly hear the tech gears in his brains working some evil scheme.
Who's gonna tell these boys that the world doesn't revolve around them right now? Doomsday will. The monster-villain who killed Superman in the 1990s Death of Superman arc is now a confirmed show-up. But hey, girls can play too. Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, shows up just in time to save the boys.
Talk about embarassment. Are they going to get along at some point? I guess we'll have to wait for the release on March 25.
