A new 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' trailer has just been unleashed, and it's showing how the superheroes met the villain, who made another villain, who made way for the introduction of another superhero.
The SDCC trailer for 'Batman v Superman' showed a lot of random footage from the film, although there wasn't much dialogue introduced in the teaser, not from the two major stars, anyway. Similarly, the sneak peek at the movie featured a silent and tense interaction between Superman and Batman (in a desert bunker, no less). In dire contrast, the new trailer that debuted on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' has several verbal exchanges between Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Clark Kent (Henry Cavill).
The trailer opens with the first meeting between the billionaire and the reporter, where Clark asks Bruce for his position on the "bat vigilante." Bruce counters Clark's opinion about the Gotham figure by sharing what he thought about the Daily Planet and how it glorified Superman. "I have a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns," Bruce says, and the two just glare at each other until Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) swoops in to cut the tension. Although Lex just seems a little too manic to be sane, right?
There is more footage of the fight scenes between Batman and Superman, and it is also revealed that Lex took the corpse of General Zod (Michael Shannon) and may have experimented on it. "What have you done?" Superman asks as Doomsday leaps out of a building and shoots eye lasers at Batman.
But wait, did someone just fend off Doomsday's attack? It looks like Wonder Woman came in just in time to shield both Batman and Superman against the villain. The two heroes exchange a look. "Is she with you?" the Man of Steel asks, to which the Dark Knight responds, "I thought she was with you."
'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' will premiere on March 23, 2016.
